Terms
The deal between you and Co/Unity for Community Leadership 2.0. What the program is, what applying does, how the price locks, what certification takes, and what happens if it does not work out. Last updated: [date pending review].
What these terms cover
They cover this site, learn.counity.xyz, and Community Leadership 2.0, Chapter 1 of Co/Op, the education house of Co/Unity. Applying means you accept them. If you do not, do not apply.
Co/Unity, [company registration details], [registered address]. [contact email].
What the program is
Six weeks, seven levels, each one building on the last, with a capstone that ties the season together.
- Every level runs two to three hours of self-paced lessons, a practical exercise on a real community, and a 75-minute live workshop built around breakout rooms and scenario practice.
- Weekly open office hours run alongside the levels.
- Session times alternate week to week to cover different regions, and every session is recorded.
- Level 6 is Crisis Mode, the boss level. Level 7 is the capstone.
- Finish it and you earn the CCL, the Co/Op Certified Community Leader credential.
The curriculum is delivered as described on this site. We may change the running order, the tools, or the schedule where it makes the program better, and we will tell the cohort before anything material moves.
Applying is not enrolment
Submitting the application puts you in the Season 1 queue. It does not reserve a seat, and it is not a contract for the program. Seats are limited, and we decide who gets one.
No payment is taken at application. There is no checkout on this site while applications are open, and nothing on the form asks for a card.
Applications close five days before the season starts. Give us honest answers: if the answers turn out to be false, we can withdraw a place.
Price and payment
The Season 1 price is $97, and it locks at application. Apply now and $97 is what you pay when checkout opens, whatever the price becomes later.
- Checkout opens when Season 1 dates are confirmed. Applicants get first access to seats.
- One payment covers the whole season. There is nothing else to buy.
- Prices are in US dollars. [tax treatment: whether VAT or sales tax is added at checkout]
- Payment is taken through [payment processor], not by us directly.
A partner code, if you have one, is entered at checkout rather than on the application form.
Earning the CCL
The credential is earned, not given, which means it can be failed. To certify you must do all of this:
- Pass every level quiz. Ten scenario questions per level, 70% to pass, retakeable.
- Ship every deliverable. One per level, on a real community, submitted 24 hours before that level's workshop.
- Complete the capstone, which is reviewed by a Co/Unity lead.
- Attend at least half the live sessions across the season, and never miss two in a row.
Miss the bar and you keep everything else: the recordings, the toolkit, and the season community. You just do not get the credential for that season.
We issue the CCL and it is verifiable through Co/Unity. We can withdraw it if it turns out to have been obtained dishonestly, for example by someone else doing the work.
The refund guarantee
If you attend every live session, participate fully, and still don't feel the program was worth it by the end, we refund you in full.
That is the whole promise. To claim it, email [contact email] within [refund claim window] of the final session and tell us what did not land. We refund to the original payment method within [refund processing time].
Nothing here removes any cancellation or refund right you have under consumer law where you live.
Scholarships
A limited number of scholarship seats each season cover part or all of the fee, decided case by case. The application takes around ten minutes, and effort matters more than polish.
- Applications close five days before the season starts.
- Decisions roll weekly, and every application gets an answer within 7 business days.
- Final decisions land no later than five days before the season starts.
- A partial award means you cover the balance. The form asks whether you can before we decide.
- The spotlight option, a public post about why you are leveling up, is optional and is never a condition of an award.
We read every application. Decisions are ours to make, and we do not run an appeals process. You are welcome to apply again next season.
Acceptable use and code of conduct
The cohort is a community, and it is run like one. Show up as someone the room is better for.
- No harassment, hate, threats, or abuse, in any session or channel.
- No sharing other people's private information, and nothing said about another participant's community leaves the cohort.
- No scams, no spam, no unsolicited pitching at the room.
- Your seat is yours. Do not share your access, and do not send a colleague in your place.
- Do not record, republish, or repost the live sessions or other people's work.
If someone breaks this, we can warn them, remove them from a session, or remove them from the program. For serious breaches, removal can be without a refund. Report anything that needs reporting to [contact email], and it stays confidential.
Recordings
Live sessions are recorded so the cohort can catch up and so people in hard time zones are not punished for geography. If your camera or microphone is on, you are in the recording. Recordings are shared with the cohort. If you would rather not appear, keep the camera off and use chat, and you will not be at any disadvantage.
We may use a short clip publicly only with the permission of everyone visible in it.
The toolkit, your work, and the credential
What we own
The curriculum, lessons, recordings, quizzes, frameworks, templates, prompt packs, and skill files are Co/Unity's. So are the names Co/Op, Co/Unity, and the CCL.
What you get
On enrolment we license the toolkit to you: a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the materials in your own work, for any community you run or work on, for as long as you want. Finish the season and the whole kit is yours, in your workflow.
What that licence does not cover: reselling them, republishing them, posting them publicly, loading them into another course or product, or using them to build a competing training program. One person, one licence.
What you own
Your deliverables, your capstone, and everything you write in the workshops stay yours. We will only show your work as an example if you say yes first. We may describe how cohorts perform in aggregate, in a way that does not identify you.
The credential
Certified graduates can display the CCL and say they are certified by Co/Op. That is not authority to speak for Co/Unity, sell on our behalf, or present yourself as our employee or agent.
The network and the partner deal
Graduates join the Co/Unity network. We place community leaders and moderators with real projects, and when a role opens in your niche, certified graduates are where we look first.
Being in the network is an introduction, not an offer of work. It is not employment, it is not a guaranteed placement, and it does not oblige either of us to anything.
Certified graduates who bring new business to Co/Unity earn a boosted affiliate rate, on separate terms: [affiliate program terms].
What we do not promise
We can teach the craft, run the workshops, and hand you the toolkit. We cannot promise you a promotion, a raise, a job, a bigger budget, or a particular number in your own community. What you get out of the season depends on the work you put in and on the context you are working in.
If a season moves or gets cancelled
If we have to postpone Season 1, applicants and enrolled participants get told first. If we cancel it, anyone who has paid can take the next season at the same price or take a full refund. Your choice, not ours.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything connected to the program is limited to the amount you paid for it.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. The program is education, not advice about your specific business, and decisions you make in your own community are yours.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights stand whatever this page says.
Changes to these terms
We may update this page. The version live when you applied is the one that governs that application, and we will flag anything material to people already in the queue rather than changing it quietly.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of [governing law jurisdiction], and any dispute goes to the courts of [jurisdiction for disputes]. Mandatory consumer protections where you live still apply.
